How ordering works
- Upload. Drop the STL, 3MF or STEP file on the home page. It is measured in your browser and nothing leaves your computer at this stage.
- Configure. Pick material, layer height, infill, quantity and lead time. The price updates as you change them.
- Order. Enter name, email and delivery address. The file is then uploaded and the order emailed to the studio. Over £80, this becomes a manual quote request.
- Check, print, post. An engineer checks wall thickness, orientation and fit, sends a payment link, prints, inspects, photographs the part and posts it with a tracking number.
What people order
The orders of the last two weeks, sizes and prices exact, names private: a pair of replacement projector gears (£7.45 for two, reordered a week later), gaming-chair screw inserts (£3.50 each), a Shark vacuum hose adapter (£6.82), a cover plate for a solar charge controller (£7.82), console screws (£3.50 each), a face-down mask 178 × 246 × 55 mm (£22.57), and a request for 34 exhibition carrier parts priced by hand at about £128. Most are functional parts that fix or finish something, and most cost between £5 and £30.
Where the parts go
London, Bristol, Coventry, Frome, Wolverhampton, Ilford, Ellesmere Port and Hertfordshire in the last fortnight. The service is the same everywhere: printed in London, dispatched within 48 hours, Royal Mail Tracked to the door. Delivery times by region are on the delivery by post page.
For businesses and labs
Prototypes, jigs, fixtures, brackets and small production runs in PETG, with an engineer's check on every file and design-for-manufacture notes where they help. Batch pricing and the sample-first process are on the batch page; CAD design from a sketch or photo and CFD analysis are available on request by email.
Reviews
Sync 3D is reviewed on Trustpilot. As of 19 September 2026 there are two reviews, both five stars, from customers who ordered in September. One calls the service "an absolute gem for those of us in London who don't have 3D printers".
Questions people ask
Is there a minimum order?
No. One part is fine. The only floor is £3.50 per part, and small parts sit at that floor. Orders of £40 or more get free Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery.
How fast will I get my part?
Standard orders are dispatched within 48 hours, then Royal Mail Tracked 48 takes 2 to 3 working days anywhere in the UK. Priority (next-day dispatch) and Express (same-day dispatch) are available in the quote tool, and Tracked 24 or Special Delivery by 1pm can be chosen at checkout.
Which materials can you print?
Engineering-grade PETG in black is stocked: about 50 MPa tensile strength, usable to about 75°C, good outdoor and water resistance. PLA, ASA and TPU are being added. We print FDM only, not resin, nylon or metal.
Do you deliver to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
Yes, every UK address, including the islands, by Royal Mail. Dispatch within 48 hours from London, then 2 to 3 working days for Tracked 48. There is no collection point.
What happens with a large order?
Anything over £80 is priced by an engineer: the checkout sends the file and details as a manual quote request, and a confirmed price and dispatch date come back by email within one working day. Batch runs of 10, 25 and 50 parts get 7%, 12% and 18% off and a sample part first.
Do you have reviews?
Yes, on Trustpilot at uk.trustpilot.com/review/sync-3d.co.uk. Two reviews as of 19 September 2026, both five stars, from customers who ordered in September.
