Worked prices
Every part is priced from its printed weight at £0.18 per gram in engineering-grade PETG, with a £3.50 minimum per part, and the batch discount then comes off the lot. Two typical parts:
| Quantity | 30 g bracket or clip | 100 g housing or jig | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | £5.40 | £18.00 | none |
| 10 | £5.02 each, £50.22 | £16.74 each, £167.40 | 7% |
| 25 | £4.75 each, £118.80 | £15.84 each, £396.00 | 12% |
| 50 | £4.43 each, £221.40 | £14.76 each, £738.00 | 18% |
| 100 | £4.43 each, £442.80 | £14.76 each, £1,476.00 | 18%, larger runs quoted |
Delivery is Royal Mail Tracked 48 from £5.45 and free on orders of £40 or more, so every batch above the smallest ships free. Parts sharing one parcel are packed together. For runs above 100 parts, or parts over about 150 g each, email the file for a quote: repeat work at that scale is priced below the ladder.
How a batch order runs
Upload and price. Drop the STL, 3MF or STEP file on the homepage, set the quantity, and the discounted price appears. The file stays in your browser until you order.
Engineer check. Before anything prints, one of us checks wall thickness, orientation, tolerances and any threads or press fits, and emails back if something should change. Design-for-manufacture advice is part of the price.
Sample and approval. One part is printed and photographed, or posted to you if fit matters. The run starts when you say so.
Confirmed date, then payment. You get a dispatch date by email and a payment link or an invoice with your PO number. Nothing is charged until you approve.
Printed, measured, posted. Critical dimensions are checked with calipers before packing; ask for the measurements on the delivery note if you need a record. Tracked to any UK address.
Lead times
| Run size | Typical dispatch | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 10 small parts | within 48 hours | Handled like a standard order. |
| 10 to 50 hand-sized parts | 3 to 7 days | Confirmed by email before payment; depends on part size and the queue. |
| 50 to 500 parts | quoted | Runs can be split into deliveries so the first parts arrive while the rest print. |
| Repeat runs | as agreed | Your file, settings and sample stay on record, so a reorder is one email. |
What batches are printed here
- Jigs, fixtures and gauges: a 350 mm measuring gauge was prototyped for a cycling retailer ahead of a 50-unit run, with its critical dimensions checked against the drawing before it left.
- Mounts and brackets: a robot camera bracket for a London AI lab, printed at 50% infill with four perimeters and clearance holes kept clean of supports, exactly as the order notes asked.
- Enclosures and housings for electronics and prototypes, up to 400 × 400 × 380 mm in one piece.
- Keyboard cases, plates and parts for group buys and small makers, where a consistent finish across the run matters.
- Spares that a manufacturer no longer supplies, reproduced from a sample or a drawing and kept on file for the next order.
For engineers and buyers
Material
PETG at £0.18 per gram: about 50 MPa tensile, usable to roughly 75 °C, good UV and water resistance, printed at 0.08 to 0.28 mm layers with ±0.2 mm tolerance. PLA and ASA are being added; ask if a run needs them.
Paperwork
Invoices carry your PO number and our company details (Forma Sync Ltd, registered in England no. 16274422). Payment by bank transfer or card link once the parts are checked. Files are held privately and deleted from the print queue within 30 days of dispatch; an NDA can be signed before you send anything.
Honest limits
One machine prints one run at a time, so a 500-part job takes weeks, not days, and we will say so before you commit. Parts for sustained heat above 75 °C, safety-critical loads or medical use are not offered.
